Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most exciting game of round 40 in the KBL took place in Daegu. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of much higher ranked Anyang (28-16) to seventh ranked Skygunners (22-23) 75-73 on Thursday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Nathan Knight (208-1997, college: William & Mary) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Filipino Kevin Quiambao (193-2001) contributed with 15 points for the winners. American power forward Johnny OBryant III (207-1993, college: LSU, agency: Slash Sports) replied with 17 points and 6 rebounds for Anyang. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Skygunners have an impressive five-game winning streak. Sono SG maintains seventh position with 22-23 record. Anyang at the other side keeps the second place with 16 games lost. Sono SG will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Anyang will play on the road against Seoul Thunders and is hoping to win this game.
Ninth-ranked Daegu (13-31) was very close to win a game against second ranked Anyang (28-16). Anyang managed to secure only two-point victory 66-64. However their fans expected much easier game. Worth to mention a great performance of center Seunghui Han (200-1998) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 7 rebounds and Junhyeong Byeon who added 12 points and 6 assists during the contest. At the losing side Filipino guard Samjosef Belangel (177-1999) responded with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Anyang maintains second position with 28-16 record having just three points less than leader LG Sakers. Daegu at the other side keeps the ninth place with 31 games lost. They share the position with Seoul Thunders. Anyang will play against bottom-ranked Seoul Thunders (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Daegu will play against Wonju DB and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked Knights (27-17) against sixth ranked Sonicboom (22-22) on Friday night. Visiting Knights were defeated by Sonicboom in Busan 81-70. The winners were led by Derrick Williams who scored that evening 27 points and 5 rebounds. Even a double-double of 19 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists by Jameel Warney did not help to save the game for Seoul Knights. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Suwon KT maintains sixth position with 22-22 record. Loser Knights keep the third place with 17 games lost. Suwon KT will meet Mobis Phoebus (#8) in the next round. Seoul Knights will play against the league's leader LG Sakers (#1) in Changwon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Other games in round 40 were not that significant. KCC Egis smashed Wonju DB on the road 104-84. LG Sakers won against Mobis Phoebus on its own court 83-75. KCC Egis managed to outperform Seoul Thunders in Busan 81-79. Wonju DB recorded a loss to Sono SG at home 81-95.
